The Good Soldier

"The Good Soldier" is a feature-length documentary revolving around the activities of Breaking the Silence, an NGO founded by former soldiers of the Israeli army who served in the occupied territories. These young soldiers, most of whom are less than 30 years old, decided to bear witness and testify on what they did and experienced during their military service in the occupied territories. They undertook speaking frankly about an issue that is rarely or never addressed, by drawing back the veil on what the daily life of an occupying army entails - with the purpose of bringing the military occupation to an end.
