Dancing La Fontaine's Fables, not the most obvious option, and certainly not the easiest.
La Fontaine without its texts? What a gamble! Are his words strong enough to be danced?
Animals representing men, men representing animals, (both at the same time) appear on stage to give us (or rather to dance for us) a lesson in morality.
The dancers and animals are often transported to a living world that is impulsive and raw.
But once there, defying both the laws of balance and human stupidity, they are suddenly transformed before our very eyes into thinking beings.
Through filming the danced version of la Fontaine's fables we will surely find the spirit of dance.
This is what I like and what makes me want to create a series of short, lively and funny films about it.
